Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 10/19/2026
Product Advisory, LLC ("Product Advisory," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you visit www.productadvisory.co or use assessment.productadvisory.co (together, the "Site"), including our toolkits, tool request and voting page, and learning pages.
The short version
We collect only what you choose to give us, we use it to run the site, tools, and assessments, and we never sell it.
- We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross context advertising.
- Downloading and filling in a Toolkit PDF happens on your own device. We never see what you type into it.
- We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used. You can opt out.
- Anything you type into a free text answer in the assessment may be read by an AI service, so please keep confidential company details out of it.
- You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time at info@productadvisory.co.
What we collect
What we hold depends on which part of the site you use.
Browsing the site. Google Analytics records standard visit data such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. GitHub Pages, which hosts our main site, also keeps basic server logs.
Contact form, email, and scheduling. If you write to us or book a call, we receive your name, email address, any message you send, and the details you give when scheduling through Calendly, such as your company and what you want to discuss.
Ask (site search). When you type a question into Ask, the question and the matching sections of this site are sent to a third party AI service to write a short answer, and the question is logged so we can improve the site. We do not collect your name or email with it. Please do not include confidential information.
Toolkits. Toolkit PDFs and Google Sheets are free to download. The PDFs are filled in locally in your PDF reader, and what you enter is never sent to us. If you make your own copy of a Google Sheet, that copy lives in your Google account, not ours.
Request a tool and voting page. When you vote or suggest a tool, we collect an anonymous browser based ID, your votes, and the text of any suggestion. Giving an email address is optional and is used only to tell you when a tool you asked for is ready. Suggestions are reviewed before they appear publicly.
Assessment and learning pages. If you take our assessment, we collect your name, email address, company, job title, company size, and industry, along with your answers to each question and your results. If you create an account, we also store your sign in details, course progress, and badges. Accounts are handled by Google Firebase.
Newsletter and social. Our newsletter and company page live on LinkedIn, and LinkedIn handles what you share there under its own policy.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- Reply to messages and run the calls you book.
- Deliver the assessment, show your results, and save your progress.
- Decide which tools to build next, based on votes and suggestions.
- Improve the site, tools, and courses.
- Send you something you asked for. If you opt in to marketing email, every message includes an unsubscribe link.
- Keep the site secure and meet legal obligations.
AI evaluation of written answers. Free text answers in the assessment are sent to a third party AI service so they can be graded. Please do not enter confidential or personal information about other people in those answers. We do not use your answers to train our own models.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and tools people use. It sets cookies and collects data such as your approximate location and device. We use it for measurement only, not for advertising. The learning pages use browser storage to keep you signed in and remember your place. One small preference cookie on productadvisory.co remembers the choices you make in Make it yours (such as dark mode or text size), so our sites open the same way for you. It holds no personal information and is not used for analytics.
Your choice. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Google Analytics does not set cookies unless you click Accept on the cookie banner; until then it sends only cookieless, anonymous measurements. Elsewhere, Analytics is on by default. On assessment.productadvisory.co, creating an account counts as accepting, because you agree to this Privacy Policy when you create it. Wherever you are, you can accept or decline at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of the page, and we remember your choice in your browser. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, Google Analytics does not set cookies and we do not ask.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt out browser add on (opens in a new tab), or by blocking cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the site and tools, and only as needed for them to do that job. We do not sell your information.
- Google (Analytics, Drive, Sheets, Firebase): measures visits, stores files and results, and runs sign in. It may see visit data, assessment records, and account details.
- GitHub Pages: hosts the main site and the assessment, learning, and portfolio pages. It may see standard request data such as your IP address.
- Calendly: schedules calls. It sees your name, email, and what you enter when booking.
- AI service provider: grades free text assessment answers and writes answers to Ask questions. It sees the text of those answers and questions.
- LinkedIn: hosts our newsletter and company page. It sees whatever you do on LinkedIn.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case we will tell you if your information is affected.
Published results, retention, and security
Published results. We may publish aggregate assessment results, such as average scores by industry or company size. These never include your name, email, or company, and we show a group only when enough people are in it that no one can be picked out.
Retention. We keep messages and booking details for as long as needed to follow up, then delete them within 24 months of our last contact. Assessment and account records are kept while your account is active, and we delete them within 12 months after you ask or stop using the account. Vote and suggestion records are kept in anonymous form for as long as they are useful for planning.
Security. We rely on the security of the providers listed above, restrict access to the records we hold, and use sign in protection on accounts. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or export a copy. Email info@productadvisory.co and we will respond within 45 days. We may need to confirm it is you first.
- Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any message, or write to us.
- Analytics: opt out as described above.
- Votes and suggestions: clearing your browser storage removes the anonymous ID from your device. Tell us if you want server records removed too.
US state residents (including California, Colorado, Virginia, and others with privacy laws) have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of sale or targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
People in the EEA and UK can also object to or restrict processing and complain to their local data protection authority. We process your information to perform our services, for our legitimate interests in running and improving the business, and with your consent where you give it, for example by opting in to email.
Children, transfers, links, changes, and contact
Children. Our site and tools are built for business professionals and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think we have, tell us and we will delete it.
International transfers. We are based in the United States, and our providers process data in the United States and other countries. If you use the site from elsewhere, your information will be transferred there.
Third party links. The site links to other sites, such as LinkedIn and Calendly. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
Changes. If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will post a notice on the site.
